Little Jokester

I have a great sense of humor and I love to make jokes. Here are some of my recent ones.

I was helping my mom clean my room the other day and we were picking my books up off the floor and stacking them onto the ottoman by my rocking chair. We stacked them all very neatly and then I got behind the ottoman, looked at my mommy with a twinkle in my eye and said, "Ready?" and proceeded to push the ottoman and knock all the books back onto the floor. That was funny!!

I'm learning my colors and I like to tease about them. I was reading my Baby Einstein color book with my mommy and she asked me what color was on that page. I got it right and said, "Lellow." Then on every other page, I answered, "Lellow!" with a big grin on my face. Now when you ask me colors, "reeen" is the color I say even when I know it's not. Green and red are my brother's favorite colors so it's a good thing I like one of them too.

My mom and I were eating together and Mommy got a refill on her tea. I said, "Mommy tea!" She said that yes, she was drinking tea. Then she asked me what I was drinking and I got that twinkle in my eye again and said, "Jon tea!" and died laughing.

These last two aren't jokes, but I still wanted to share them with you. This week, I have been trying to tell my mommy how to drive. I keep yelling, "No Mommy! Dat way!" I'm sure she appreciates my help.

And after spending many hours at soccer and t-ball practices and games, I know just what to do. Whenever I get a chance, either during practice, or immediately after a game, I get a soccer ball and go up to the goal and kick it in. If we're at t-ball practice, I sneak one of the batting helmets, put it on, grab a bat by the fat end, put a ball on the tee, and proceed to hit it off. I'm ready to play!!

I make my parents laugh every day. I just haven't been writing them down lately so I've forgotten some of them. Maybe I'll do better next time. Maybe.

Is It Potty Training Time?

My family got out my brother's potty chair for me since I'm really interested in the whole potty thing. I asked them to take off my diaper and then I tried out my new chair.
Is this how it goes?
No? Well, is this better?

How about this? ;-)
I'm proud of myself for sitting on the potty and one of these days I might actually be ready to really use it.

Me!

Hi everyone! Bet you really didn't expect to hear from me again so soon. I just wanted to tell you my newest thing. Whenever I do something I think is cute, I yell, "Me! Me! Me!!" over and over with a big grin on my face until my mommy looks at me. Then I giggle and she agrees with me that what I did was cute and/or pretty amazing for a two year old and then I'm happy.

Whereowhere?

I'm learning lots more words these days. I'm still not talking as much as Thomas did at this age, but I have no problems communicating. One of my favorite words these days (after MINE) is whereowhere. I learned it from a song Mommy sings when I'm hiding, "Oh where oh where oh where is Jonathan. Where oh where oh where is Jonathan. Where could Jonathan be?"

When we're walking in a parking lot, I say, "Whereowhere ar (car)?" When I'm getting my pajamas on at night and my arm disappears inside the long-sleeved shirt I say, "Whereowhere arm?"

I also like to battle you. Can you guess who taught me how to do that? I'll find some stick-like object in the house: a Peter Pan knife, a pick-up stick, a fork, a light saber, you name it, and I'll walk up to you, give you one too, and say, "Battle!" It may sound more like "ba-ul" but that's what I mean. And then the game is on.

I LOVED the lights at Christmas. Whenever we'd see anything, I'd be the first one to notice it and I'd yell, "Light! Light! Light!" the whole time. I also think I'm a big boy. Just like my brother. He is finally allowed to plug in the snow globe and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. I figured if he could do it, so could I. And I COULD do it. My family just didn't like me doing it. I was pretty sneaky about it sometimes too. We'd come in the house from being out, and I'd stop and plug in Rudolph on the way by. Before Mommy even noticed what I was doing. Yeah me!

I can't believe it's been so long since I last posted. I still have more I want to tell you but I have to go to bed now. Hopefully it won't be three months before I write again but you know us two-year-olds are busy guys.
